First bi-articulated natural gas bus introduced in Colombia

1On December 16, 2016 Scania and Gas Natural Fenosa, at the Latin American Busworld held at Plaza Mayor in Medellín, presented the first bi-articulated bus designed for mass passenger transport, the engine which runs on natural gas (CNG).
The bus combines high technology that meets the Euro 6 standard, and natural gas, which is an environmentally friendly and cost-effective fuel, will be the optimal solution for the country's public transport system, such as TransMilenio in Bogota and Metroplus in Medellin.
The new vehicle is positioned as an ideal solution for passenger transport systems with mass passenger traffic. At the same time, it will help reduce emissions of harmful substances from exhaust gases in the main cities of Colombia.
