Exhaust gas will turn into gasoline

14 November 2016

American scientists Jeffrey Martin and William Cube Jr. have developed a way to convert carbon dioxide back into gasoline. The project was named Green Freedom. The idea is simple: the air will pass through a potassium carbonate solution, which will absorb carbon dioxide. Then carbon dioxide is removed from the solution and, using chemical reactions, is converted back into fuel - methanol, gasoline or jet fuel.

If you believe American scientists, then in the near future the problem of global warming will be solved by itself. It turns out that almost a billion cars all over the earth will not only not pollute the atmosphere, but will also solve the current problem of high fuel prices.

This invention does not contradict the laws of physics. Similar proposals have already been made by some US scientists. For the first time, Martin and Cubic went so far and worked out all the details of the future car.

But there is one "but": the operation of such a processing machine on an industrial scale requires colossal energy consumption. Scientists took this into account and the car was modernized, but even now, to meet the needs of car owners, it will be necessary to build an entire nuclear plant for processing carbon dioxide into fuel. Such a plant will cost the country about $ 5 billion.
